How to Create Vue-like-plants in Bryce
By: Helmut Schaub (
English Edited by: Linda White)
Creating grass
Click on the "picture object" symbol... ...(Leonardo's Image)
Inside the Picture Editor (Leonardo's Image), load the texture
"grasscol.jpg".
Load "grassmask.gif" into the mask-field.
You will need to add a relief map
to the plane in channel B
To do this, set the color map to white and load the texture "grassmask.gif" into the mask field.
Rotate the plane at the x-axis
Copy and paste - move and scale the planes to get a group of grass-planes
Here is a first render of my group of grass-planes.
If you change the position of the sun you will get some wrong shadows because our grass-imitation is made with planes.
So you have to rotate the whole group to
get a better uniform light on the object.
You will find a file "grass.obp" in the zip.
